Mr Robertaccio's Stress Busters!

Breathing Techniques:
  • Square or Box Breathing:
    • Each side of the box represents a different action. First breathe in for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, breathe out for 3 seconds, and count 1, 2, 3.
    • Balloon Breathing: Imagine your lungs are balloons. Breathe in as deep as you can expanding the lungs. Do not hold your breathe but breathe out as if it was a cold day and see your breathe leave your body in slow motion. Feel how your body becomes heavier as the breath leaves. Time how long you can breathe out.
Visualizing Techniques:

  • Visualize a calm and relaxing place. The trick is to go through all five senses. Start with visual as that is most people’s dominate sense.
  • Imagine a color in your mind.
